The Bat Study and Conservation group of
Japan was established at the end of 1992.
We are devoted to the research and
conservation of bats in Japan. Anyone being
interested in bats can join us.
There are about 30 species of bats in Japan
but as there are only a few bat biologists,
their lives and destribution are hardly known.
Nevertheless in most species populations
are definitely declining. Particularly some
forest dwelling bats have seen only several
individuals. Therefore it is significant
to get information from not only researchers
but everyone who is interested in bats.
. Communication is promoted through a newsletter"KOUMORI TUSHIN"
which contains research news and notes from our members. We are looking
forward to all your articles.
